Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
Here’s a little about me…
I’m originally a proud Northeast Ohio girl from a small town called Ashtabula. West Chester, Pennsylvania has become home for my family, but we still bleed scarlet and gray— Go Buckeyes!
Major game-changers: a transformational year in Italy during college, a cancer diagnosis at age twenty five, building a relationship with Jesus, and motherhood. Okay and…coffee.
My gem of a husband, Josh, and I have three busy kids (Ellie, Jack, and Charlie) and a tireless Boston Terrier named Yoda. While we are far from perfect, we make a great team and I love sharing this beautiful, bumpy ride with them.
On a professional note, I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Psychology degree from the University of Dayton and a Masters in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University in Maryland. My early career days were joyfully spent in student affairs on college campuses, and then as a therapist in a counseling practice. For a bunch of years, I was primarily a stay-at-home mom, and I assure you that my counseling skills were put to good use in that role!
In 2014, I celebrated my 40th birthday with a 40 day kindness challenge that just keeps on going. My simple birthday adventure led to the publication of my book, A Case for Kindness, the opportunity to speak with groups of all ages, and a front row seat to the powerful, endless ripple of kindness.
The most sincere desires of my heart are captured best by a little green sign resting on a shelf in my house—Love God. Serve Others. Live Simply.
